Key Responsibilities

  • Interacts with internal and external business partners and has an expert level understanding of multiple business functions and systems
  • Creates/facilitates project documents, working directly with the project teams or customers.
  • Compiles and summarizes expert level organizational and process information from the business partner, including a good understanding of business terminology
  • Adheres to IT standards and processes
  • Creates presentations and demonstrations
  • Performs expert level data collection tasks and leads in requirement gathering/collection
  • Directs the creation of training documents/materials and leads business partners' training sessions
  • Recommends creative ways to solve expert business partners' needs
  • Works with business partners to facilitate understanding of scope, in terms they can understand
  • Works on multiple projects as subject matter expert
  • May perform some of the duties of a IT Quality Assurance Analyst or acts as a Project Manager on small to medium projects

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 10 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret expert level business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of expert level algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to effectively communicate business and technical information with all levels of employees.
  • Considers enterprise issues while developing solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of the application of business workflow and requirements.
  • Oral Communication: Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings.
  • Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Adaptability: Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
