The Licensed Health Insurance Agent position provides sales support to our health insurance clients. Our high energy sales agents are required to use their sales skills to quote and sell Insurance offered through our client. The potential candidate will make outbound calls, as well as take inbound calls from potential customers. They will then go through the proper channels to see if the customer is qualified for that particular insurance and also explain all features, benefits and policies to the customer in hopes of enrolling them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound and Outbound to and from prospective insurance customers, understand customer's needs guide them through the on-line enrollment process
  • Customize insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks
  • Explain features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote application for insurance plans
  • Enroll customers in plans and/or forward their call to the appropriate department for further assistance
  • Consult with customers across the US regarding their current and future Insurance needs in order to determine how we can best help them achieve their goals
  • Establish an ongoing relationship with our customers through the delivery of world-class customer service
  • Educate and advise customers on their Insurance options and the benefits of various plans
  • Enroll customers into an Insurance plan that fits their needs, now and in the future

Qualifications and Skills

  • Active Health Insurance License for the state of Michigan
  • Must be enthusiastic, confident, and outgoing, and highly motivated to succeed
  • Able to communicate clearly and persuasively
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and sales skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and meet monthly goals
  • 2 years of Insurance experience preferred but not required
  • Sales experience with E&O policies preferred but not required
  • High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred
  • Strong computer knowledge and excellent typing skills (30 WPM)
