The Vehicle Service Contact Sales Supervisor will be responsible for managing personnel and developing sales and support staff. This candidate will have problem solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information. This candidate will have the proven ability to motivate and lead with previous experience in developing sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities         

  • Manages personnel and develops sales and sales support staff         
  • Collaborate with leadership to create and train the call and sales process         
  • Hire high-performing salespeople according to HR staffing guidelines         
  • Develop new salespeople to ensure ongoing and lasting success         
  • Manage day-to-day performance of all sales team members and deliver weekly and monthly reviews on a consistent, timely basis         
  • Spend time with the sales team individually to build quality working relationships         
  • Be accessible to affect the entirety of the team's operation         
  • Lead and schedule daily and/or weekly team meetings with sales team and/or leadership        
  • Track sales team metrics and report data to leadership on a daily basis         
  • Coach and develop direct reports         
  • Work with VSC Training and Quality Manager to implement performance plans         
  • Meet pre-determined revenue goals through the activities of direct reports         
  • Ensure correct usage of CRM and other sales applications         
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams through individual agent performance         
  • Formulates all sales policies, practices and procedures         
  • Take calls that the sales agents can't handle (escalations) and be available when an agent appears to need assistance         
  • Timely follow-up to escalated customers         
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions; making recommendations to management         
  • Monitor queue and track inbound and outbound calls - keep the sales agents aware of inbound calls, calls waiting, abandon rate, etc.         
  • Motivate and encourage sales agents through continuous positive communication and feedback        
  • Educates sales team by establishing improved phone presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of business/financial issues on contracts         
  • Strictly adhere to department policies, processes and procedures         
  • Participate actively in quality and training initiatives         
  • Keep track of attendance, PTO, sick time etc.         
  • Work with leadership to generate ideas for sales contests to increase agent performance, focus and loyalty         
  • All other duties assigned

Qualifications and Skills         

  • A Degree in Business, Marketing or related field; or a minimum of seven years of related experience or training in the automotive industry; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience         
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills         
  • Experience in meeting sales goals, negotiation, selling to customer needs, motivation for salespeople, sales planning, building relationships, coaching, managing processes, market knowledge, developing budgets, call center staffing         
  • Detail-oriented         
  • Minimum three years of supervisory experience         
  • Minimum of two to three years of customer service and sales experience         
  • Must have documented successful track record in commission based sales         
  • Customer follow-up skills         
  • Typing Skills (35 45 WPM)         
  • PC literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
