The Sr. Business Analyst is the primary liaison between marketing service operations and technical team members in IT. The Sr. BA works with internal and external clients to define and document business requirements and ensure those needs are accurately addressed by internal platforms and system applications.  They may also perform analysis required to develop technical solutions that meet customer needs for marketing services in the areas of customer engagement, e-commerce and/or warehouse fulfillment. At the Senior level, the Business Analyst will be expected to perform their job function with minimal guidance and oversight from manager or team leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtains clear understanding of project scope with minimal guidance from manager or team leaders
  • Facilitates discussion with clients to document requirements for development efforts required to support end users of marketing service applications
  • Elicits and communicates advanced business needs to both technical and non-technical team members from all levels of the organization from end users to the executive level
  • Compiles and summarizes data collection, tracking and reporting needs from client and users to create actionable project requirements
  • Advanced ability to troubleshoot issues from both a technical and operational perspective to recommend solutions that address client needs
  • Creates supporting project documentation including but not limited to: Technical Estimates, Business and Functional Requirements, Use Case Scenarios and Test Plans
  • Directs Quality Assurance Testing from Test Plan Execution through UAT
  • May create training materials for end user consumption
  • May act as a Project Manager on several small to medium projects
  • Able to troubleshoot and identify root cause of issues reported by end users

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business or Technical field preferred
  • Ability to establish consultative relationships with all levels of internal and external business partners
  • Must possess exceptional organizational, time management, administrative, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and prioritize requests a must
  • Knowledge of IT standards including SDLC, ITIL, Agile and Waterfall Methodologies a plus
  • Experience in marketing service environments including Call Center, Direct Mail, Warehouse Fulfillment or eCommerce a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point).
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Change management & Business Analysis skills required
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Great attention to detail with all work products, output and communication
  • Advanced Excel Macros, VLookups, Pivot Tables, & Charts is a plus
