The Director, Innovation & Solutions leader will be an expert in both planning and account practices. This is a unique role in one of the fastest growing and strategic areas of Dialog Direct.

Day-to-day, you will collaborate with cross functional project teams to motivate, create and implement short and long-term marketing strategies, identify new opportunities for client growth, evangelize processes and best practices across all engagements, and expand contacts with key client executives and maintain strong post-engagement relationships introducing new opportunities.

What you would do:

Planning:

  • Identify marketing problems, assess client product and sales strategies to understand the implication on a client's marketing environment
  • Partner with and provide leadership across cross-functional teams in execution of insight discovery, digital and direct strategy and marketing engagements
  • Define scope, recommend approach and execution of strategy and strategic planning projects with an emphasis on data and segmentation driven insights
  • Deliver client presentations; lead and facilitate requirements workshops
  • Play an active role as a product owner (SME) of at least one of our end-to-end solutions
  • Support sales in developing presentations and written components of a proposal/pitch

Account:

  • Develop and execute an Annual Account Plan
  • Create a vision for and review proposals and statements of work developed by project management and discipline leads
  • Managing the accounts that reside within your portfolio and, in some cases, direct Engagement Managers who are responsible for day-to-day account operations and relationship management
  • Monitor financial performance (plan to actual)
  • Work with Project Management to ensure delivery success
  • Identifying new business relationships and opportunities
  • Work closely with creative, data scientists and technologists to develop materials including case studies, initial POVs on prospective clients' businesses
  • A comprehensive understanding of client business goals and strategic imperatives, and the ability to help a team define and develop deliverables, including written and creative assignments, that positively impact the client's needs

 
What we think you need to succeed:

  • A deep understanding of how data driven insights can lead to improved performance in digital and direct channels
  • Experience developing multichannel, multi-touch marketing plans for digital and direct channels
  • Demonstrable success in working with marketing technologists and data scientists
  • A degree of some sort ideally in business, finance, or marketing but it could be something else
  • 8+ years of client-facing experience in an agency-like environment with a focus on product / industry specific solutions
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to tell a story and persuade people to act
