Do you have a passion for delivering superior customer service while being a key player in the essential daily functions of a successful personal lines insurance office?  Our busy insurance agency located in Troy, MI is looking for a strong Administrative Assistant and Client Service Representative.  This individual will be responsible for a variety of pertinent tasks, allowing the sales agents to focus on the continued growth of the business.  The ideal candidate has superior administrative skills, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.  This individual will answer a high volume of inbound calls on a daily basis while managing other tasks.  This individual possesses excellent people skills and enjoys working directly with internal and external clients on a daily basis.  The below job description outlines the responsibilities for the Administrative Assistant and Client Service Representative.                                                                             

Key Responsibilities

  • Office Administration and Client Service Work
  • Assisting the Insurance Advisor in managing the office to exceed client expectations, including:
    • Answer phones and greet clients in a friendly, positive, and warm manner
    • Be one of the first point of contact for prospects and clients
    • Distribute insurance policies via mail or email to insured individuals
    • Maintain office supplies and out-going correspondence
    • Assist clients with issues and account inquiries
    • Build and improve upon client relationships
    • Database management
    • Set appointments with prospects and clients, and assist Advisor with calendar management
    • Maintain office filing system, both paper and electronic
    • Assist with various marketing objectives
    • Other industry-specific tasks as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years of Administrative Office experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Insurance Industry experience preferred, but not required
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Experience utilizing a Customer Relationship Management system to enter and manage data
  • Desire to obtain long-term employment
  • Ability to prioritize projects and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to be available and answer inbound calls and conduct outbound calls throughout the day
  • Savvy customer service to include excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Strong initiative and follow-through
  • Solid attention to detail, organization and multitasking skills
  • Good-natured, positive attitude
  • Driver of change willing to accept change and innovate within your role.
