This position is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of assigned personnel and production / assembly processes needed to complete each assigned project/job. Organizes work assignments, defines responsibilities, and completes necessary training for personnel as needed.  Understands and monitors individual/ team performance and applies effective leadership and lean management practices to meet Job standards and company objectives.

This current opening is to support 2nd shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan daily, weekly and monthly resources to meet production requirements and control costs
  • Resource scheduling and applicable hiring or terminations as required to fill staffing plan
  • Develop, train, coach, and discipline team members as required to build an effective team
  • Identify and resolve operational and procedural issues in respective Department
  • Monitor production performance (individual and team) and hold production staff accountable for meeting Job Standards (quality, productivity and due date)
  • Manage all operational variables (people, materials, tools and/or machinery) to meet or exceed historical productivity trend (or new Standard) for each job assignment
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Employee Handbook, Badge Use, Attendance, GMP, GDP, HIPAA , Safety and Security Guidelines
  • Rely on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish daily tasks & goals
  • Read procedures and job/project tickets and comprehend work instructions and customer expectations or requirements for accurate and timely execution in production / fulfillment
  • Manage multiple projects and responsibilities in applicable department
  • Prioritize, multi-task, and manage project work load to meet due dates
  • Ensure a clean, organized and safe work environment and adherence to 6-S disciplines
  • Complete Dept. Daily Reports, Employee Time & Attendance records (post in ADP), and Project Specific Documentation, including Pharma Batch Doc's (on-time and accurately)
  • Conduct effective performance reviews (verbal and written) for all direct reports following company procedure and schedule
  • Other duties as assigned
